Kingfisher Wharf

Established in 1953, in the heart of Trent Valley, two boat enthusiasts, Dick Smart and Dennis Hunt began the transformation of a coaling wharf in to a marine haven.

Between 1978-2018 Russell Hunt continued to develop the marina. In April 2018 the current owners Adam & Laura Fisher began working alongside Russell to run the yard.

Today, the Wharf is a hive of activity and is favoured by those totally absorbed with their boats - from cruisers to narrowboats, yachts to traditional wooden craft.

Find Us

We are situated on the Trent almost exactly half way between Nottingham and Newark, and opposite Gunthorpe Lock.

From Nottingham: follow signs for Newark, firstly on the A52 ring-road and later the A46 at Saxondale. After passing Newton, take the first exit off the round-about signed Doncaster A6097.

Follow the A6097 until you reach a 4-way junction, turn right onto Kirk Hill Road into East Bridgford. Just after the Church, turn left onto Trent Lane, the entrance to King Fisher Wharf is signposted on your right just after a tight right bend.
